The Mission
To plant healthy, vibrant churches that demonstrate the love of Christ in both word and action as they meet the needs of their city. Once a church is stable, we can then move on to another church planting opportunity. We hope to begin in County Tyrone and continue to establish churches throughout the country. We are currently partnering with Cornerstone City Church and facilitating a student disciplship/internship program called Master's Commission. We minister on the streets and in the local primary schools sharing the message of the Gospel.
The Context
Why Northern Ireland? Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom. The predominant religions are Protestant, Catholic, and a recent surge of Islam. The country has been ravaged by civil unrest, famine, & political decay. There is much need there, as youth and adults look to alcohol, drugs, and gang activity to escape their troubles. The "Troubles" caused adverse social effects- a community breakdown and a social culture of suspicion and segregation. Historically Northern Ireland has not been considered a "mission field", however, in the past decade Europe has now become the most unreached region of the world surpassing even Africa and Asia. Europe was a religious continent for centuries, but now most have lost focus on what it means to live as a Christian.
